Chris Driussi
President
Chris’ passion for all things marine began as a child listening to his grandfather’s tales of life as a merchant marine and evenings spent with his father marvelling at the explorations of Jacques Cousteau. He dreamed of becoming a diver who could captain his own ship. He made his come true! After an injury took away a budding hockey career, Chris turned his attention back to his first love – the water. Inspired by his childhood dream Chris moved to the Caribbean to earn his Master Dive License. Engaging in increasingly technical, mixed gas dives, safety became top of mind and Chris pursued certification as an international hyperbaric chamber technician, diver medical technician, and earned first aid instructor certifications. With opportunities to captain larger boats Chris acquired his Offshore Yacht Master license and ran a range of vessels from deep-sea sport fishing charters to luxury yachts. Returning to Canada with his passion, experience and diverse qualifications, Chris created and managed a successful marine service and captaining company for over 10 years. Chris has a long history in the marine industry that includes advanced training in SCUBA, boat safety & emergency preparedness, paramedics, and project management. He has been providing yacht services for over 25 years on the Pacific Coast and has established a loyal client base. Revolution Yacht Experience is his next marine adventure. Chris currently resides in Maple Ridge and, alongside his wife, currently supports the dreams of his 2 daughters on the ice and in the water!
Alex Baily
Vice President - Operations
Alex has a lineage of salt-in-the-veins. His grandfather built his own 50-foot yacht in his backyard in Tasmania and raised his children on that yacht. It was their home for many years as they travelled the East Coast of Australia. It was only a matter of time before Alex followed in his grandfather’s footsteps. Starting off on ferries in Australia, his career took him to Europe and then on to Canada where he now permanently lives with his wife and 3 children.
Alex is passionate about all things technical, especially if it’s on a yacht. He saw the formation of Revolution Yacht Experience and couldn’t resist. Joining the team as Operations Manager and business partner, he now enjoys the challenge of doing what he loves and helping to realize the vision of the company’s original founders. Alex has 18 years of experience in the international marine industry.
Roy Kelln
Store manager
Roy’s marine journey began in Regina, Saskatchewan where his father built a lakeside cottage and purchased a 1950’s Lake & Sea fiberglass runabout. The boat was red, and the outboard was red and Roy was hooked! After a family move to BC, Roy took an interest in all things mechanic on land and water. If it moves, Roy can fix it! His training and attention to detail led to a successful independent business for many years. During this time, Roy introduced his wife, and two daughters to boating on a 32 foot Motor Yacht. Roy brings many years of boat servicing and sales, as well as an award in BC Boating Equipment Safety, to the team. Roy currently manages the chandlery and is relied on to bring the best parts to the shop as quickly as possible. His passion for boats and boating is lifelong.
